Nick and Cath are trekking the 10 Peaks Challenge for Youngcare
We have chosen to take part in the Youngcare Ten Peaks Challenge to raise money to support an organisation we have held close to our hearts from its inception - Nick cofounded Youngcare 19 years ago. No doubt you are aware of the thousands of young people with high physical support needs being left behind in places like aged care or institutional homes. This is simply because there has been nowhere appropriate or safe for them to go. Youngcare is fighting for freedom, dignity, and choice for young people with high physical support needs to choose where they live, who they live with, and how they live their lives.
We are looking forward to doing this trek together, to the challenge, the experience, the adventure. To show our children we all have a duty to help others who need it. But ultimately every $5000 we raise keeps a young person supported in their home and out of aged care.
Please, donate to our page and show your support. Your donation goes directly to young people with high care needs to restore their dignity, to provide some hope and joy, and give them and their families a second chance at life.
