I’m taking on the Budgie Bolt - a 5km all inclusive event in May!

This year is 10 years since my Mum passed away (far too young) at 61 years of age. Around 10 years before that she was far too young to be entering aged care. It was 100% the right choice for our family but I am passionate about Youngcare, which is giving other young people with complex disability needs wider options. 

That is why I am forcing the whole family (6yo and 4yo included) to take part in the 5km Budgie Bolt this Sunday! I think the kids might fare better than I do... 

Every year throughout Australia, thousands of young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities are being left behind in places like aged care, rehabilitation centres and institutional homes.
