FAQ's (Frequently
Asked Questions)
Want to know more about the Budgie Bolt?
To keep things lightning quick and simple, here are all of the frequently asked questions about the Budgie Bolt in one convenient location! If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact Youngcare fundraising@youngcare.com.au
Where is the Budgie Bolt and how do I get there?
The Bolt zone will be located at New Farm Park, closest to the Brisbane River and the New Farm Ferry Terminal.
Parking: We recommend the best parking option is at The Powerhouse. You can easily walk from there to our meeting point. There is parking within the park but this gets busy very quickly. We encourage you to arrive with amply time to find parking.
Public Transport: If you are looking for a convenient public transport option to get to the event, we recommend the Brisbane City Cat services. The City Cat stops at the New Farm Park Ferry Terminal, which is right by the meeting point. This is an easy and affordable option for those who prefer to use public transport to get to the event.
We hope this information helps you plan your transportation to the event and ensures a smooth experience.

Yes, you are more than welcome to participate if you haven’t pre-purchased a ticket, you will need to visit the Youngcare registration marquee and pay via eftpos for your ticket. You will be given a t-shirt and cap to wear. Please note t-shirts and caps will be limited on the day, we encourage ticket purchases prior.

Participants will be able to collect their Budgie Bolt race kit prior to the day at our South Brisbane office (76 Ernest St, South Brisbane) or you may collect this on the day at the Youngcare registration table. Postage is an option too at your cost if you choose. The t-shirt and cap provided in your kit will be your ticket to the event. By wearing your supplied merch this it shows us that you have purchased a ticket. Particpants not wearing the kit may be questioned to prove their ticket purchase.
The course is wheelchairs, walker and pram accessible. Dogs are encourage to attend, but must be on a lead, well behaved and poop bags to be brought.
