I'm trekking the 10 Peaks Challenge for Youngcare

Anyone that knows me, knows I am always up for a challenge! So for four incredible days, I'll be taking on the adventure of a lifetime, where I'll be taken out of my comfort zone, to raise much need funds and awareness for young people living with physical disabilities.

As a Social Worker working in the disability sector for 15 years I have seen the difference the Youngcare ‘Home Support’ and ‘At Home Care’ grants have made in the lives of people living with high physical support needs, as well as the impact on their family and care givers. The Grants assist people to remain in their own home or to move out of inappropriate housing such as aged care or hospital.

When the opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance and joined the Youngcare Connect team in September 2022.  I’ve seen firsthand the difference as little as a few hundred dollars can make to someone. I have taken on this challenge to help raise more funds so that my team and I can assist even more people.
