Training Hike #4 - Lomandra Circuit

Wednesday 9th Sep I completed the Lomandra Circuit, another important step in preparing for the challenge ahead. Every training hike builds the endurance, resilience, and mental strength needed to take on the vast and demanding landscapes of the Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert. The journey isn't just about reaching the finish line. Training Hike #2 - Araucaria Track

Wednesday 9th Sep Sunshine, fresh air, and unexpected wildlife encounters ✨☀️ Explored the Araucaria Track at Enoggera Reservoir and was lucky enough to see turtles, ducks, and a vibrant king parrot along the way. Training Hike #1 - Morelia Walking Trail

Wednesday 9th Sep 🌵🏃‍♀️ The adventure starts now! 🏃‍♀️🌵 I've officially started training for the 2027 Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert Challenge! 🎉 Last weekend’s training session took me along the beautiful Morelia Walking Track in D’Aguilar National Park. Plenty of hills, lush rainforest, incredible views, and a reminder that every step taken now is preparing me for the red sands of the Simpson Desert. 💪🥾 From mountain trails to desert dunes, it's going to be an amazing journey and I'm excited to share it with you all along the way!
